News – Newry Scout Group

Newry Scouts Represented at National Assembly

Our group was represented at the National Assembly in Dublin, where our proposal passed with significant support.

Fifty-two of our members represented the Scouts in the 2026 parade.

143 young people benefit from Scouting in Newry every week – and we need more adult volunteers to keep it growing.

We are running an egg-citing Easter Raffle to raise some much needed funds for our Scout Group.

Most of our youth members and adult volunteers gathered to celebrate the achievements of the past year.

An exhibition and social gathering featuring faces from the past 80 years took place in Newry Scout Den over the weekend.

As we celebrate 80 years of our Scout Group, we are holding an exhibition to reflect on our wonderful past.

Work has been ongoing at pace during the summer to ‘upgrade’ the outside of the Scout Den.

Potential new members are invited to come along to receive information and express their interest in joining Newry Scout Group.

As we celebrate our 80th year, we released a badge set to commemorate the occasion and also commissioned a new group badge.
