Rover Scouts are aged 18-25 years old; the beauty of this section is that they are able to plan and run their own events tailored to what they feel the Scouting experience should be about. Because of the freedom that comes with the Rover Scout section, many events are opened up to Rovers across Ireland! Below you will find the experience that one of our Rovers enjoyed recently attending an event run in another county:
Last weekend, some of our Rover Crew ventured to Loch Keel to take part in Crews at Ease, a Rover camp hosted by Galway Scout County. The weekend was jam-packed with great activities and team challenges; for example, we took part in a rowing challenge and escape rooms. We were able to meet other Rover Crews from across the country at this camp, which made the experience all the better. With backwoods cooking and a scout campfire, the atmosphere was friendly and full of energy. It was a brilliant chance to get back to scouting and make new friends. It really inspired us for the Scout year ahead!
