We started off February well at the County Cub Challenge, where a team of five Cubs were able to attend and have a go at all of the fun activities organized by Dungannon Scout Group.
The morning started off outside for us, where the Cubs tried their luck at fire starting with flint and steel. Although the weather was working against them, they had a great go at making some sparks. Moving on from that, they headed to the tent-pitching challenge, where we were really proud of those older Cubs helping the younger ones and of those younger ones who have yet to put up a tent without Scouter assistance for taking the challenge head-on.
Following a snack break, the Cubs made an amazing catapult in a pioneering challenge and enjoyed some teamwork challenges shortly after. Concluding the day with a table quiz.
We are so proud of the Cubs for representing Newry Scouts with such kindness towards one another and amazing teamwork!
