Provincial Conference 2026

Órlaith, Fiona, John, Rachel, Rónán, Anthony, Barry, Ronan, Damien, Bernadette and Paul represented Newry Scouts and participated in the Northern Provincial Conference of Scouting Ireland over the weekend in Dromantine Conference Centre.

This was a great opportunity to upskill in various areas, including supporting special needs children, knife safety and delivering games. It also allowed us to connect with over 110 Scouters from across the island of Ireland.

The weekend also saw awards presented to some of our Scouters (Barry, Paul, Ronan and Rónán), in recognition of their ongoing commitment to upskilling and renewed training.

This weekend also marked Rónán McGibbon’s ‘retirement’ as the Provincial Commissioner, with his three-year term coming to an end.
